今朝の気温は、11℃！
既に秋の訪れを感じずにはいられない、昨今のプラハです…。
もはやマンスリーとなっていますが、ウィークリーダイアリー、参ります。
This morning it was just 11 degrees!
I feel the autumn's coming...
Then, it's almost monthly diary, but let's start weekly diary.

今年の夏は、本当に猛暑でした。７〜８月にかけて、毎日33〜36℃という日が続き、しかも湿気が全くないため、湿気の強い日本の夏に慣れた私は汗がうまく出せなかったりして、体調管理の難しい日々が続きました。(そしてカプレーゼばかり食べました)
This summer in Prague was too hot. Temperature was almost the same in Japan (Tokyo), but the humidity is far lower, so my body felt very different situation and couldn't adjust to this dry summer well. So it was hard summer for me... (and I often made caprese...)

そんなわけで、日本に一週間だけ休暇に帰った時、暑さ対策でのれんを買ってきて、つっぱり棒でつけてました。この部屋だけカーテンがないので。。そしたら、かなり楽でしたよ。
Then when I got back to Japan in the end of July for 1 week, I bought very cheap "Noren" curtain. It worked!

It cuts a lot of strong sunshine, right? :-D

部屋の模様替えにもなりましたしね。

And it changed the atmosphere of the room, too. Was nice.

暑さのおかげで、友達とプールに出かけたりと、楽しい思い出もできました。
Sometimes I went to swimming pool with my friends outside of Prague. It was so hot day but beautiful.

Hot summer means that beer is reeeeaaalllly tasty!

最近、秋ぐらいに始まりそうな、詩の本のイラストレーションオファーをこっちで頂いて、そのミーティング後にお茶。

フレッシュミントティー、すごいですよね。なかなか飲みきれないぐらい入っているし、ほんとにおいしい。

I got some offer to an project, then after the meeting I took fresh mint tea and chocolate cake. I love it.

例のフラットなピーチ。なんか分からないんですが「パラグアイ」という品種のようで、最近どこのスーパーでも見かけるようになりました。

暑い夏はやっぱり冷蔵庫で冷やした桃だよね、と思い、よく食べていました…。

あとは、夏は夏野菜だな、と思い、トマト、パプリカ、茄子、ズッキーニなど、とにかく夏野菜も取るように心がけました。

とにかく…普通あり得ないほどの酷暑だったのです。

I like this kind of peach, but it was first time for me to see such a flat peach (can you remember my past blog article??), but I found that it's written "paraguay peach". Hm, sounds so exotic... and tastes great.

It was really hot summer, so I tried to eat summer vegetables and fruits because it's naturally good for body. Peach, tomato, paprika, eggplant, zucchini, ...

あとは最近、このクソ暑い季節だというのに、ローストポークがどうしても食べたくなり、作ったところハマってしまいまして…
At the end of August, I don't know why but I really wanted to eat roast pork, then I made it often... of course it's crazy that I use oven in such a hot summer days, my room's temperature was over 30 degrees... it was crazy... but.... tasty... :p I was satisfied.

とある友達のお別れパーティーの時、1.5kgぐらい焼いてったら(写真中央参照)、さすがに余りました。笑

でも喜んでもらえてよかった♪

でも寂しいよー、また早く会いたいです。。

今月は新しい大好きな友達にたくさん出会えた＆遊べた月だったので、一年の疲れが癒されつつ、新しい展開を迎えているような予感のある月でした。

For my Japanese friend's farewell party, I made 1.5kg of roast pork. It was a little bit too much. But not bad :p

This month I could have a great time with my new friends, so I was really happy. I got some fresh air and enjoyed from the bottom of my heart.

A live performance of "DVA". It was so cool!

Dvaというバンドのライブ、友達に連れてってもらいました。めちゃくちゃよかった…！チェコで初めていいバンド見たかも。(笑)また行こうね、かおたん！

さて、個人的なこの夏最大のニュースは、遂に家にローテーブルをお迎えしたことです！！
しかも…蚤の市で、たったの500円!!!
This summer's biggest news for me was that I finally got the low table!!!
And it was just... 100Kc!! at the flea market in Kolbenova. To je prekvapeni...

実は私は、床に座って座卓でじゃないと本当には集中できない、という癖がございまして…。でも椅子＆テーブル文化のヨーロッパ、なかなかこういう丁度いいローテーブルなどどこにも見つからず、本当に参っていたんです。仕方なく、どうもいまいち…と思いながら机に座って制作し、時には床に寝そべって制作し、と苦労し続けていましたが、もうどうしてもやっぱりローテーブルがないともう駄目！と思い、最近再び探していたところ、友達が「コルベノバにあるんじゃないですかね？」とふと助言をくれ、一緒に朝、プラハで恐らく最大級の蚤の市、コルベノバへ一緒に行ってくれたのです。そしたらなんと！あるじゃない…！もう運命だと思いました。しかもこの、なんですか、この三角形！意味不明！(笑)多分、子供向けなのかな？傷だらけで古いものだけど、私には充分でした。即買って、一緒に家まで運んで、このテーブルの上でサイダーで乾杯したところ、その光景は正に「日本の夏」…(笑)やっぱり、座卓だわ！と。

Why I need it is because, when I sit on the floor, I can fully concentrate on my attention to the work. For this 2 and half year I didn't have it, it means that while such a long time, I couldn't really be concentrated on my work... hmm, it's crazy. But I never could be able to find such a low table in Europe. If it's in Japan, we can find it very easily and in a cheap price! But I finally got it with my friend's advice and cooperation!

一緒にテーブル探してくれたくまとランチ。

世界で一番、くまの食事姿を撮影している自信がある、私。笑

今は、窓際のここに落ち着きました。

ここにすると、テレビをでかいモニターとして繋いだ時にも快適ですし、何より、以前からずっと、窓際に机を置きたかったんです。でも普通の事務机を置くと邪魔で、邪魔で…。ここがベストプレイスでしたー。遊び心満載のこの三角形がまた、なんとも、使いにくくて使いやすいんです。クリエイティブな仕事の人なら分かってくれるはず、時に人間は機能的ではないものを使う方が、はかどるんです…(笑)常に動き続けてくれますからね。

机の重要性を改めて感じました。本当に、ご縁だわ。。

Now it settled beside the window.

It makes me feel really cozy and bright... Thank to God!

Now I have choice to write&draw on the narrow high table (counter), desk, and low table. Yes, I really needed these choices for my work... yeeeeeaaaaahhhh!

制作としては、今月は日本の友人でもあるデザイナーにレイアウトをお願いして、「二言語版」を制作していました。

作っていくうちに、私が本当に自分のビジョンとしてやりたいと感じていたのは本当はこっちだったんだ、という何か確信のようなものがふつふつと湧いて来て、どんどん強くなってきました。

チェコ人読者にとってはチェコ語オンリー版の方が良いのか、そうではないのか…と疑問に思い、とりあえず友人たちに片っ端から見せて意見を聞いてみたところ、二言語版の方が面白い、という意見がとても多くて驚きました。日本の話を読むのだから、意味が分からなくとも日本語があった方が興味がそそられるし、楽しめるのだそうです。知的レベルの高いチェコ人ならではの返答だなぁ…と感心したものです。

For the work, I've been making the bilingual version of Mala Japonka with my Japanese friend who's designer, Masami Yamada.

しかし、プロの手を借りたことで負担は減り、自分がピンとくるやり方でもっといいやり方でやってもらえて、本当に絶対に彼女の存在は必要だった、と感じました。

She does really professional work, so I thought that she was really essential for this project!

We made Japanese version first, then made Japanese&czech version and Czech&Japanese version, and finally I considered about them well, then I asked her to make the "mix" version. Because this book is for Czech children & people, so main sentences must be in Czech mainly. But characters are Japanese, so they speak Japanese is more natural than they speak Czech, so bubbles are in Japanese mainly. But both has its translation beside them, so people can understand both.
